1. One Direction
After winning the third place in the X Factor competition, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson captured their lucky star. Their US debut single, “What Makes You Beautiful,” received a Platinum and their first US tour ended in a few hours. They also performed non-stop with music nights and international tour.
2. The Wanted
Add to the list of American “invaders” of English singers, Max George, Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuiness, Tom Parker and Nathan Sykes – member of The Wanted. The band debuted a year before One Direction became a phenomenon. Their most popular hit in the US was “Glad You Came,” which debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100. Starting off as an age for boy bands after several years.
3. The Jonas Brothers
Joe, Kevin and Nick are both Disney stars (with the Jonas Brothers, Camp Rock and Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam series) as well as musicians. Although the boys have been “off the beaten path” but can not be denied during their activities, they are one of the groups that have received so much support and love from the youth.
3. Backstreet boys
The band contains AJ McLean, Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, Kevin Richardson and Brian Littrell became famous in 1996 and have sold more than 130 million copies worldwide. In 2011, they along with New Kids on the Block performed an international tour.
4. ‘N Sync
Having shared “home” and record labels with the Backstreet Boys, Justin Timberlake, Chris Kirkpatrick, Joey Fatone, Lance Bass, and JC Chasez are members of ‘N SYNC (short for each letter in the name of each). Lance was called “Lansten”) in 1995. The group was discontinued in 2006, when Bass confirmed that the group had disbanded.
5. 98 Degrees
Singing from 1996 to 2002, Nick Lachey, Justin Jeffre, Jeff Timmons and Drew Lachey released five albums and twelve singles.
Including Keith Duffy, Mikey Graham, Ronan Keating, Stephen Gately and Shane Lynch. After six years together, the group disbanded in 2000 but they reunited at a concert for the Children In Need charity in 2007. They continued to tour until 2009 – the year they the member Gately died.
